I'm running into an issue with certain web applications, namely vBulletin forums. It seems that for security purposes, some vB forums are setup to automatically escape URL's using brackets. When FireGPG inserts it's URL into the comment, vB picks this up and escaped it with [url ] [/url ] around the URL. This, of course, breaks the FireGPG decryption.

There is an extra space after url because your own forum software here is escaping these as well. :-)

Would there be a way to edit the parser code to ignore and/or correct the escaped URL? I know you can turn off the URL in the comment, but it's difficult to get lots of community members to edit their settings, especially when some of them have to be hand-held through the process of setting encryption up in the first place.

Is this a spurious message in Firebug, or is there something I can fix in my code to prevent it? It takes up lots of real estate and causes inefficiencies while debugging forms. If it's something I can fix - just say so and I'll pursue independently. However, if the error message doesn't mean anything, can it be removed?

I use the feature vom the google labs 'google gears'.
So I can use a synchronized cache to use google mail in firefox when I am offline and the composed mails will be saved in an outbox and automatically send when I online again.
Could FireGPG use that feature, so I can sign and encrypt messages in this state, too?

2. Often i can't see the full path to the currently selected file, because the text field is too small and is also not accessible for the mouse cursor. This should be changed!

I need to decrypt a lot of pgp blocks encrypted with one privkey password, so i ld like to be able to pass the password directly to the  FireGPG.Misc.getPrivateKeyPassword as anFireGPGData.setAttribute  or to specify the useSavedPassword and nosavecheckbox from the api's client side. It is possible ot there are reassons to avoid to implement that functionalities? it is possible to implement in near future versions or i should to use a workarround?

I have one feature request, however:

When i send a mail, i would like to automatically have a BCC send to myself, encrypted with my own public key. This way i can  check back and re-read what i wrote somebody, something that isn't possible as of yet (as far as i know).

I hope you'll find this suggestion worth considering, and thanks again for your work!

I'm coding around PHP and playing with the following idea :
- Imagine a (mutualized) HTTP server where every file is encrypted with GPG (nobody, even the admin, could see what your are hosting)
- Imagine you can decrypt index.html on the fly using FireGPG API
- Imagine you can then click on links in this decrypted index.html to download "me_signing_in_my_bathroom.mp3.gpg"*
- Then, with the current firegpg version, you can Right click in the "download window" to let Firegpg decrypt the file

Would it be hard to code the following feature :
Right click on a link and have a "Decrypt and save as" firegpg option that will automatically :
=> download to a temporary location
=> decrypt the file to the specified location and delete the temporary file

or better (but probably impossible or too difficult) : download and decrypt on the fly to the specified location because I may not have enough disk space to store the encrypted file (in temp dir) + the decrypted file (wherever I want it to be).

I mean, something like "wget -O - http://here.i.am/file.txt.gpg | gpg --decrypt - -o whereever/i/want/file.txt"

It would be nice if FireGPG made links clickable after decrypting them. Often decrypted emails include links and it's a bit of a pain to cut+paste them when there are multiple links per email.

very cool script to add gpg support to Gmail. But because of the fact that i use my computer account together with my girlfriend, i can not use it. Because she has her own key and when i preset a key she signs her mails with my key. To select the key for every mail is to complicated.

So an option to set a Gmail Acc specific key would be perfect.

i miss the option in Gmail to encrypt the message automatically if i have the public key of the recipient. In this case i always want to send an encrypted message with this public key.
