Oh man, i think Im being really dumb. I cant see a link to the old 0.62 anywhere on the install page. :S

edit: nevermind, i found the old version here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo … sions/4645

Ill do some testing tonight

edit2: well I think I give up! Ive tried creating new keys, older versions of firefox, older versions of FireGPG different GPG builds but i still get this error on multiple machines. Can no one else replicate this? install the latest GPG, firefox and fireGPG on a new box and see what happens? Ive seen it on 3 machines now so Im almost certain its not me doing something stupid.

Eidt: Ive fixed it on 2 of the test boxes! All I did was install the dot net framework and its all OK. That was on the two XP machines. Didnt work for the Server 2003 box though :S

Is there somewhere I can download the previous version 0.6.2 from so I can check it wasnt introduced with the new version?

Ive reinstalled Firefox and GPG and FireGPG and reimported my key but still:

Is there anything I can try?

edit: Ok Ive tried this again on my VM test box and I get the exact same issue on a fresh install of Firefox 3.04 with the latest Firegpg. Can someone also please try this to see if they get the same problem - install gpg and firefox and firegpg on a new profile. Unless theres something wrong with the keys importing...gpg doesnt report any errors.

No mate, its just a plain XP pro SP3 build. Is the IPC library something you can re-install?!

Hey all,

Im getting this IPC error on a fresh install of windows XP SP3 and Firefox 3.04 . Any reason why I should be getting this in a windows environment?

Just so people know, I reinstalled FireGPG and its all OK now. I also removed FireFTP so that may have caused a problem....

edit: although I have encountered another issue. When I come to export my public key the output is just:

[object Object]

On the text edit screen. :S

Anyone ever fxied this issue. Im running gpg on firefox 3 (portable) which always used to work but having not used it for monts, Ive come to use it today and got the exact same issue. Im going to try re-installing FireGPG and GPG itself but if anyones got suggestions Id love to hear them.
