I tried it using the encrypt + inline option and it worked OK. Then tried it with just encrypt and it now works.

Looks like the inline option kick started it into action !

What exactly does inline do ?

Thanks

The Gmail will send OK without encryption
The Gmail will send OK with encryption if the old Gmail interface is enabled
The Gmail wont send with encryption if the new Gmail interface is enabled

Thanks

I had selected encrypt and then send.

It asked me to select the key which I did and then entered the passphrase.

Gmail flashed up a yellow banner message saying "Sending email"

The banner message disappeared but the email was still sitting there. Nothing had actually been sent or received.

I tried sign and then send , same problem

Selecting the older interface and the message was successfully sent using either sign or encrypt and then send

Thanks

Steve

I can send a signed or encrypted email through Gmail if I select the older interface version.

If I try and send through the new Gmail interface, it doesn't actually go.

I checked the Firefox concole and the only msg was "Deprecated property window.title used.  Please use document.title instead."

I tried with and without SSL under the "New Gmail Interface" options. Also tried withand without username

does anyone have any other suggestions

Thank you

Steve
