Why not just write it in the built-in editor, under the Right-Click Menu and copy the encrypted text into gmail when you're done?

'always encrypt to self' & 'Encrypt to multiple recipients' options would be quite handy.

Any chance of making the toolbar icon a bit smaller?

Currently it has a picture of keys and 'FireGPG' in large letters next to it; takes up a lot of room - any chance of making the 'FireGPG' bit the alternate text for the icon(so it doesn't show up in icon only view) and/or moving the icon down to the statusbar?.
