Hi MarsDude,

Great extension !

Thanks !

In the options dialog I selected with 'Default private key' to always ask for the private key. Which is a great option, as I have multiple email adresses on my gmail and only 1 of them has a gpg-key. Would it be a suggestion to have FireGPG automatically select the correct key based on the from address? That way the chance that someone signs a mail with the wrong key would be minimized.

Nice idea ;-)

It's now in our toto list.

The FireGPG's Options window does not open until you quit the browser - it is displayed when all other Firefox windows close. When I changed gpg path (it's /opt/local/bin/gpg on my system) options display normally.

How can I find which path to use. I'm quite a new Mac user and I can't find /opt in my Finder window.

Any help gratefully received!

Cheers

PS: Tried your path and it works! Thanks

Try :

which gpg

...but I'm not sure if it can work un Mac OS, it've tried this command on GNU/Linux.

Hi Janzo,

janzo wrote:

I have a question. Google gmail's uses AJAX. How can I be sure than googles is not using AJAX to read what i'm writing in the mail box??

We cannot be sure if your message is readed by Google or not. It's a possibility...

If your message is very secret, the best way is to write and encrypt it in an offline editor or with a web page without a Javascript-like language.

janzo wrote:

If they do this your plugin is unuseless. Maybe put an option in your plugin for desactivate ajax on webs?

Nice idea, but i dont know if it's possible easily. We will try to find a good solution in the futur.

Yes, we are spammed...

I'm going to turn off anonymous posting.

Please include the key ID in the error message (with the ability to copy to clipboard) and perhaps give an option to import it.

We will include this error message. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for this cool plugin!

You're welcome ^_^

It would be cool, if FireGPG would allow for symmetric encryption (password). which is also supported by GnuPG.

If it's supported by GnuPG, it will probably implemented. Thanks for the suggestion.

You modify the code that comes from gmail anyway, don't you? So is it possible to find out who initiates the auto save feature? Is it in the local code? Is it possible to patch the code so that autosave is disabled, e.g. if the user chooses to disable it? -> Feature request for FireGPG :-)

Disabling auto-save is *probably* possible. We will do some tests soon...

Hi !

First of all: Thanks for this wonderful Addon!
I would like to integrate FireGPG into my webmail-software "yawebmail"
(http://yawebmail.sourceforge.net/). Is there a (JavaScript-)API to FireGPG,
so I can integrate some buttons into my pages which call specific FireGPG-
functions?

First, download the source code :

svn co svn://svn.tuxfamily.org/svnroot/firegpg/firegpg

And see GMail's webmail class. It's in content/cgmail.js.

If not, how can I help to enable FireGPG to integrate into yawebmail?
(I'm no (Firefox-)plugin-programmer).

It's not difficult ^_^ (http://developer.mozilla.org is your friend).

(and... thanks for your futur contribution)

Is it possible you could post your source on the web page?

I've just been searching for quarter of an hour scared I've been duped by a closed source program grabbing my keys after not thinking and just using.

I'm Ok. I will add a link to the source code (SVN repository), in the download page ^_^

Bests,
