UI enhancements

At least a year ago I looked to FireGPG to ease the use of GPG, but decided that the interface was too poor to use. I don't care about GMail integration, what I want is something more like this. Well, today I sat down and started coding. Presently, I have an extension that extracts PGP blocks in web pages, but doesn't yet do anything with them. I want to merge this into FireGPG to create a working web cryptography solution.

I haven't tried to merge them yet, and I've only taken a cursory glance at the code for FireGPG, but can anyone direct me where I should look to help me out? Thanks. I'd also be interested in hearing any other thoughts anyone had on the idea itself.
