Is the current plugin written to conform with NPAPI?

Kind of yes, but as they said "NPAPI is a really big hammer that should only be used when no other approach will work. ". I don't want to use again this kind of api, they cause a lot of problems...

What needs to be done yet to get a chome plug-in created?  I can try to help out.  I'd find this very useful for myself.  I don't use firefox so I highly prefer chrome over IE.
