Topic: Usage

Hi,

When using FireGPG in GMAIL I have to select the text before clicking crypt or sign.  Is this the intended behavior?  My first thought was that by clicking crypt (without highlighting anything) everything would be taken care of for me.  It seems like an extra step to highlight everything.

Thanks,

Brandon

Re: Usage

Hi

It's an extra step, be needed, beacause we can't guess the body of your mail...

Re: Usage

Right, it sounds like a good idea, but if there is already a signed message within the body of your email, resigning will cause problems with verification.  At least it does with the typical reply format gmail uses.

Re: Usage

This is what I am seeing as well. If I sign a message using Thunderbird and Enigmail then FireGPG can verify the signature. But if I am replying to an email in Thunderbird and sign the reply then FireGPG can not verify it. The same thing appears to happen if I send the email from GMail and sign using FireGPG. This is happening on both Linux (Ubuntu 7.04) and Windows XP Pro.
