Some virus scanners such as McAfee do not like exe files to be executed from the 'C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Local Settings\Temp\' directory by a browser ig. firefox.exe.
McAfee 8.5i creates an alert that looks like this:
10/18/2007 1:07:53 PM Would be blocked by Access Protection rule (rule is currently not enforced) [USER]
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Local Settings\Temp\fgpg_tmpFile.exe Common Standard
Protection:Prevent common programs from running files from the Temp folder Action blocked : Execute
I currently have the rule off but would like to alert you(developer/s) of the potential for this to be a problem.
Thanks.
