text on top of other text in gmail, 1024x768 screen

I searched through the forums - didn't see an answer but apologize in advance if this has been discussed.  It would seem to be a common problem, though maybe I am the only one still using a 1024x768 screen resolution.

In gmail, some of the links provided through gmail are on top of links provided by firegpg.  I don't know how else to describe it.  Is there a way to fix this?  An image to better describe is here:
