Topic: Signing failed because of an unknown error

"Crypt" worked well for me, but "Sign" gave me the following error:

'Signing failed because of an unknown error. Maybe no default private
key has been set. In that case please do so within the option menu.'

Note: I have two private keys, and have already selected one of them as the
default private key.

If it matters, I'm running Red Hat with a Linux 2.6.9 kernel, GnuPG v 1.2.6, Firefox-2.0.

its a long shot but, check that the key isn't expired? I had that error with an expired key.
